Welcome to the Glamorgan Federation

Welcome to Glamorgan Federation which was established in 1923, covering an area from Cardiff in the East to Pontardulais in the West and from the Gower Peninsula to the top of the Rhondda Valley.  We have a total of 91 WIs, with WI member numbers ranging from 7 to 105

We have just celebrated our Centenary year with a packed programme of celebrations, our next year will include a range of events that can be found on the Federation Events page.

We are a successful vibrant organisation which meets the expectations of the modern woman. We offer a varied program for our members, with the chance to enjoy and learn new skills and crafts, as well as taking part in sport and leisure activities and of course making new friends. We have various activities planned during the year which include debates on public affairs and community issues. In fact, our WIs have something to suit everyone.

Joining the WI is the beginning of a journey of discovery. Make this year the start of your journey with Glamorgan Federation. Seek out your local WI at Find A WI.  You can attend two meetings before deciding whether to join.

Explore our website to find information useful to current members under the section Federation Information including Advisers and Contact Areas and Link Groupings. If you are a WI member don't forget to visit  My WI the NFWI website  where there is lots of useful information as well as access to the WI Learning Hub where you can access many online courses for free or a small fee.  You just need the email address that you used on joining your local  WI.

Our federation secretary June Humphry  is available to be contacted by telephone at Federation House or by email glamorgan@btconnect.com
